Come join STAR Activities! Here’s a little snap shot of what we have in store this Summer.
We have an exciting Summer programme available for our participants, held in and around Luxembourg, including activities at our exclusive Base Camp facility. Children will be able to participate in organised fun activities whilst experiencing freedom in the fresh air. The programme includes Summer workshops and activities around Sport, Creativity, Adventure and Nature.

Thursday July 20th: This is a day not to be missed, it’s Adventure time at our base camp with our interactive Hot Air Balloon workshop with our pilot Carlo who will allow you to experience an amazing day in a real sized hot air balloon. Friday July 28th: Calling all Dinosaur enthusiasts, come join us for an amazing experience at the Dinosaurier Park. We start our morning with an organised Dino Ranger tour where you will learn all about the these incredible Dinosaurs and when they roamed our planet. Comic Book Festival
This weekend Contern will be transformed into a Comic Book Village and will welcome authors, artists, musicians and many visitors who come here from all over the Greater Region. Visitors will find more than 100 stands that sell comic strips and offer a wide range of new and used comics, original drawings, posters, figurines and much more! There will also be kids entertainment, comic exhibitions and food and drinks!

Every summer for over 40 years, the City’s Service Sports (Sports Department) has organised sports camps for young people aged 11 to 17 called “Sport-Wochen”. These activities take place during the summer school break and include the following: 5 “Mini Sport-Wochen” for young people aged 11–12, and 13 “Sport-Wochen” for those aged 13 to 17. These sports camps last between 4 and 7 days (with or without overnight stays), and are held either in Luxembourg or abroad.

Beach Club Hesper
The Beach-Club is located in the heart of the municipal park of Hesperange. It is open to the public from June to September each year. Admission is free and use of the pool is limited to children up to the age of 12. There is Restaurant, Beach, Rest area, Swimming pool.

Beach in Lux ville/Theaterplage
A giant, 350 m2 sandpit with deckchairs and beach umbrellas sporting the City’s “multiplicity” colours, a pétanque court, plus a variety of plants and fun decor with bunting and fairy lights delighted visitors of all ages. Bee Trail – Kids Learn Why Bees Are Awesome
Head over with the kids to the 2.5 km bee trail that goes across the city and includes 13 information stops. There you will discover the richness of biodiversity in the city as well as the world of bees (just a few examples of the adventures that awaits you on the tour: a hive on the roof of a building, a hotel for wild bees, and much more)! Alternatively, teach your kids about the importance of bees and the ecosystem with the BeePopulate game. With this app you can design virtual garden for bees to pollinate!

Guided tour of the railway sheds (in Lux, Booking required)
Have you ever wondered what it’s like behind the scenes at Train 1900? On this guided tour you will find out! Behind every gate of every railway shed in Fond-de-Gras you will find historic railway treasures that Train 1900 has been collecting for 50 years now. Whether big or small, young or old, everyone will find a personal favourite locomotive here and receive interesting information about the specific vehicle. Where a first insight into the locomotives is already enough for the amateurs, technical aspects can also be explained in more detail for the somewhat more passionate.

“Alles op de Vëlo”/All On Bike – on the road without car traffic between Mamer and Mersch
