Discover Luxembourg

The Discover Luxembourg (by foot) concept was initiated in 2008 as an annual one-day event. Teams of 4 will have the chance to walk either the 5-6km route (appropriate for families with buggies) or the 8-10km route around the city of Luxembourg and its suburbs. Along the course participants will be able to discover different aspects of Luxembourg as well as undertake various challenges where they can earn points to win prizes.

Ettelbrooklyn Street Festival

Live music, acrobatic performances and art will fill the streets of Ettelbruck. And there will be food trucks.

KIDS YOGA 5-10 yrs
Yoga is a wonderful way for children to stay (or become) confident, strong, balanced and healthy.

TEEN YOGA 10-14yrs
Expanding minds and maturing bodies come together through independent and group activities that stimulate teens’ physical strength, emotional balance and self-confidence.

Kids & teen program is a set of 12 classes for 200€ from 18.09 to 23.12.2021 (no classes during ceratin holidays).
Space is limited to 10 kids/teens per class.
These courses will be held in English with some translation to French if needed.

Vianden Castle Paper Days (Covid-check event)

This weekend Vianden Castle is all about paper. The popular material is the focus of numerous demonstrations. In addition to selling valuable and antique books, a varied program awaits visitors. Younger visitors can immerse themselves in the world of paper in various paper workshops. On both days there will be paper and book crafts – Workshops for all ages.

Beach in Lux ville/Theaterplage

The “Théâterplage” is back this summer in line with current public health measures. Situated in the tucked-away square of Place du Théâtre, this fun beach hideaway aims to breathe life into this often overlooked part of the city centre.
A giant, 350 m2 sandpit with deckchairs and beach umbrellas sporting the City’s “multiplicity” colours, a pétanque court, plus a variety of plants and fun decor with bunting and fairy lights are sure to delight visitors of all ages. Not only that, there will be chalets serving drinks and tasty snacks! (source vdl website)

City Promenade For Kids (Booking at www.lcto.lu required)

A city tour for kids in the company of Count Siegfried and Melusina.This exciting tour for kids from 6 years old and their parents takes them on a scavenger hunt around the city while bringing them the story of the legendary Melusina closer. Learn more about the capital’s fascinating history in a playful way and crack the code to redeem your reward!.

Fun Events in various parts of Lux ville

Various parts of the city will be hosting events for adults and children alike: classic fairground attractions such as children’s rides, small games and food-and-drink stands. These small events are intended to provide a fun and friendly atmosphere where people can get together to breathe life once more into the districts of our lovely city.
