Our month-by-month kids’ events calendar for families will help you make the most of every month. It highlights the annual recurrent kids’ events and activities in and around Luxembourg.
A large wooden cross is set on fire in order to figuratively “burn the winter”.
Over eleven days, the Luxembourg City Film Festival features a vast panorama of contemporary fiction and documentary films both international and national, events and workshops in the three partner cinema complexes (Ciné Utopia, Utopolis Kirchberg – part of Kinepolis Group and the Cinémathèque de la Ville de Luxembourg) and many of the capital’s cultural institutions. Do you want to sell your old bicycle? Or are you looking for a 2nd hand one? Then why not participate in this 2nd hand bike sale. If you are selling your bike please know that 5 EUR from the sale of each bike will be donated to the Red Cross, you will receive the rest in Belle Etoile gift cards.

This exhibition of old vehicles is the largest classic auto show in the Greater Region! Autojumble presents a range of vintage vehicles as well as new and old spare parts, miniature car collections and stands with all sorts of information about classic cars and marks .

A dozen of publishers will be presenting their books and lot of authors will be reading their stories to the children. Head over with your kids to this book fair and experience an afternoon full of surprises and great stories!

Explore 70 stands selling and presenting local products ranging from design, fashion and jewellery to food & drinks, books, stuff for kids and well-being, as well as services. Discover what Luxembourg has to offer and join one of the many workshops. Bring your appetite: there will be 10 food trucks!

Kids run. You do not have to be registered with a sports club to participate. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the race so that you can warm up. In your first participation you will receive a passport. For each run you get a stamp on your passport. Cactus donates € 1 to Fondatioun Kriibkskrank Kanner for each stamp in your passport.

Don’t forget that daylight savings time starts at 2 am and the clock is set to go forward 1 hour at that time!
And here are some places, close to Luxembourg, where you can go skiing even with little ones.
– Snowhall-Amneville: indoor ski slopes, ski/sledding rental equipment available even for little ones (the smallest ski boot size is 26). There is even an indoor café/bar from which ski slopes are visible!
– Erbeskopf: ski slope, around 91 km from Luxembourg city; ski/sledding rental equipment available as well
